Takara NucleoMag DNA Food \1 x 96 Preps

NucleoMag DNA Food is designed for rapid manual or automated small-scale isolation of genomic DNA from up to 200 mg of food or feed samples of plant or animal origin, with typical yields ranging from 0.1–10 μg of pure DNA. The procedure is based on reversible adsorption of nucleic acids to paramagnetic beads under appropriate buffer conditions. Magnetic separation can be performed either manually using the NucleoMag SEP magnetic separator or on an automated platform using standard liquid handling instruments and magnetic separators. Manual preparation of 96 samples in parallel can be completed in approximately 2 hours using NucleoMag SEP. Automated preparation of 96 samples can be completed in less than 2 hours depending on the configuration of the automation platform and the separator being used.

NucleoMag DNA Food procedure.

NucleoMag DNA Food can be used to isolate DNA from various food sample types.With NucleoMag DNA Food, a wide variety of food samples can be used as inputs for DNA isolation. For each sample type included in the graph, sample homogenization and lysis were performed manually, whereas DNA isolation was automated using a KingFisher Flex. The presence of DNA in the resulting eluates was determined using qPCR.

Product comparison demonstrates superior performance of NucleoMag DNA Food.DNA was extracted from each of the indicated sample types in parallel using NucleoMag DNA Food and competitor kit "P". For each extraction, sample homogenization and lysis were performed manually, whereas DNA isolation was automated using a KingFisher Flex. The presence of DNA in the resulting eluates was determined using qPCR. For each sample type processed, NucleoMag DNA Food provided superior performance relative to kit "P", as indicated by the lower CTvalues for the DNA samples obtained with NucleoMag DNA Food.
