Cayman Arachidonate 5-Lipoxygenase (potato) Screening Enzyme

Each vial contains purified potato 5-lipoxygenase (5-LO) supplied in 0.1 M Tris-HCl (pH 7.4) containing 0.1% BSA. 5-LO has been formulated to be used for screening 5-LO specific inhibitors using the Lipoxygenase Inhibitor Screening Assay (Item No. ). There is enough enzyme for use in 96 wells. When following the Lipoxygenase Inhibitor Screening Assay protocol, a 90 µl aliquot of the diluted enzyme causes a final absorbance of 0.25-0.29 using linoleic acid as the substrate.
