Corning® Collagen IV, mouse, 1mg, is used as a thin coating on tissue-culture surfaces to promote cell attachment and proliferation and to study the collagens effects on cell behavior.

Quality

• Purity > 90% by SDS-PAGE
• Tested for ability to promote attachment and spreading of ng-108 (mouse neuroblastoma/rat glioma) cells
• Tested and found negative for bacteria, fungi, and mycoplasma

Preparation and Storage

Stable for at least three months at -70°C. Avoid multiple freeze-thaws.

Handling

Generally used as a thin coating in the concentration range of 1-10 µg/cm² of growth surface depending on cell type. Higher concentrations may allow for longer term attachment.
