The Xfect Protein Transfection Reagent allows the delivery of proteins and antibodies into cell lines in less than two hours. Delivery efficiency is high (60-99%), and proteins retain their biological activity. This kit contains Xfect Protein Transfection Reagent, Xfect Protein Buffer, deionized water, and a Beta-Galactosidase Control.

How fast is direct protein transfection?.We transfected human recombinant caspase-3 using Xfect Protein Transfection Reagent and detected completion of apoptosis after just 2 hr, demonstrating that protein transfection using Xfect reagent is both fast and delivers active protein (Panel B). Other methods for inducing apoptosis require 12 hr for completion of Annexin V staining (Martin, S. J. et Al. (1995) J. Exp. Med. 182(5):1545–1556.).
