Revvity B-cell lymphoma-extra large (bcl-xl) is a member of the bcl-2 protein family resulting in apoptosis inhibition or pro-survival function. Beclin 1, a key factor in autophagy regulation, interacts with bcl-xl. Bcl-xl is also essential for the survival of neurons and is involved in protective roles in neuronal injuries.
