|---|---|
| Application | Anti-Glucose Regulating Protein 94 (GRP94) Antibody detects level of Glucose Regulating Protein 94 (GRP94) & has been published & validated for use in WB & IC. |
| Key Applications |
|
| Application Notes | Immunocytochemistry: Rabbit anti-GRP94 from a previous lot detected localization of GRP94 (green) in HEK293 cells. Blue staining is DAPI which stains the nucleus of the cell. Previous lots of this antibody showed positive testing for immunocytochemistry on HeLa, COS7 and HEK293 cells. Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user Western Blot: A previous lot of this antibody was tested on multiple lysates. See datasheet. |

| Entrez Gene Summary | HSP90 proteins are highly conserved molecular chaperones that have key roles in signal transduction, protein folding, protein degradation, and morphologic evolution. HSP90 proteins normally associate with other cochaperones and play important roles in folding newly synthesized proteins or stabilizing and refolding denatured proteins after stress. HSP90B1 is an endoplasmic reticulum HSP90 protein. Other HSP90 proteins are found in cytosol (see HSP90AA1; MIM 140571) and mitochondria (TRAP1; MIM 606219) (Chen et Al., 2005 [PubMed 16269234]).[supplied by OMIM]. |

| UniProt Summary | FUNCTION: Molecular chaperone that functions in the processing and transport of secreted proteins. Has ATPase activity (By similarity). SUBUNIT: Homodimer; disulfide-linked. Component of an EIF2 complex at least composed of CUGBP1, CALR, CALR3, EIF2S1, EIF2S2, HSP90B1 and HSPA5 (By similarity). Part a large chaperone multiprotein complex comprising CABP1, DNAJB11, HSP90B1, HSPA5, HYOU, PDIA2, PDIA4, PPIB, SDF2L1, UGT1A1 and very small amounts of ERP29, but not, or at very low levels, CALR nor CANX. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Endoplasmic reticulum lumen. Melanosome. Note=Identified by mass spectrometry in melanosome fractions from stage I to stage IV. PTM: Phosphorylated (By similarity). SIMILARITY: Belongs to the heat shock protein 90 family. |

| Storage and Shipping Information | |
|---|---|
| Storage Conditions | Stable for 1 year at -20°C in undiluted aliquots from date of receipt. Handling Recommendations: Upon first thaw, and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance. |
