| Description | Anti-PEG Antibody, clone AGP3 |
| Alternate Names |
|
| Background Information | Polyethylene glycols (PEG) are non-toxic, uncharged, hydrophilic long chain polymers with a big exclusion volume in aqueous solution. The covalent attachment of PEG is commonly employed to modify proteins and drugs that can increase their bioavailability and reduce immunogenicity and proteolytic degradation. Clone AGP3 is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that displays high affinity to both short and long PEG molecules. It displays specificity for the repeating subunits present in PEG and can bind a broad range of PEG molecules. It is suitable for use as a capture antibody in ELISA with biotin-conjugated anti-PEG, clone 6.3 (Cat. No. MABS1966) as a detection reagent. Use of CHAPS detergent instead of Tween-20 is highly recommended in all washing buffers. |
