Miltenyi Biotec Clone REA1307 recognizes the human CD4 antigen, a 55 kDa Single-pass type I membrane protein also known as T4/Leu-3. CD4 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily that plays an essential role in the immune response. It is involved in the recognition of MHC class II/peptide complexes by the TCR heterodimers and functions as a co-receptor of the T cell receptor (TCR). CD4 is the receptor for the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
