Miltenyi Biotec Clone REAL1073 is an antibody fragment derived from the full Lamin B1 antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity. | Clone REAL1073 recognizes the protein Lamin B1, which belong to the lamin group and is a member of the the intermediate filament family. In vertebrates, two types of lamins exist, A and B. These evolutionarily highly conserved proteins are part of the nuclear lamina that rests on the inner nuclear membrane. During mitosis, lamin B1 is phosphorylated by the CDK1/cyclin B complex and then depolymerized, which leads to a decomposition of the nuclear lamina. Lamin B 1 regulates nuclear stability, chromatin structure and gene expression and plays an important role in cellular senescence. Lamins are also involved in a wide range of pathologies, including aging-associated diseases such as cardiovascular morbidities and cancer.
