Miltenyi Biotec Interleukin-13 (IL-13) is produced primarily by activated Tʜ2 cells, but also by mast cells, NK cells, and dendritic cells. IL-13 exerts anti-inflammatory effects on monocytes and macrophages. Furthermore, it inhibits the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-1β, TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-8.
