Miltenyi Biotec Clone REA504 recognizes the rat CD45 antigen, also known as leukocyte common antigen (LCA), which is a 180–220 kDa type I transmembrane protein with multiple isoforms and differential glycosylation. It appears in at least five isoforms depending on the differentiation status of the cell. CD45 is expressed at high levels on all cells of hematopoietic origin except for erythrocyte and platelets.
