Miltenyi Biotec Clone REA1310 recognizes the human CD11c antigen, a 145–150 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein, which is also known as integrin αX or ITGAX. Integrins are heterodimeric transmembrane receptors that play a role in cell adhesion and in cell signaling. It has been reported to play a role in adhesion and CTL killing through its interactions with fibrinogen, CD54, and iC3b. Furthermore,CD11c is suggested to stimulate angiogenesis during cancer development. CD11c is expressed on monocytes, granulocytes, macrophages, NK cells, myeloid dendritic cells (MDCs), and subsets of T and B cells.
