Miltenyi Biotec Clone REA784 recognizes the cell surface protein CD31. The murine CD31 antigen is also known as PECAM-1. The encoded protein is a single-pass type I membrane protein containing six Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains and functions as cell adhesion molecule. CD31 is present on mature endothelial cells as well as on most leukocyte subtypes and platelets where the expression level can vary.
