Miltenyi Biotec Clone DTA-1 specifically recognizes mouse CD357, also known as glucocorticoid-induced TNF-receptor (GITR) or TNFRSF18, a member of the TNF receptor superfamily. It is expressed at low levels on resting T lymphocytes and at high levels on CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells (Tregs). Activation of T cells upregulates GITR expression. Interaction of GITR with its ligand (GITRL) has been demonstrated to augment T cell activation, proliferation, cytokine production, as well as MAPKs and NF-κB activation.
