Miltenyi Biotec Clone REA208 recognizes CD182 (CXCR2), which belongs to the class of chemokine receptors specific for CXC chemokines. Chemokine receptors are g-coupled protein receptors (GPCR) with seven-transmembrane domains and consist of an α-subunit and a βγ-complex. In humans, interleukin 8 (IL-8) is one of most potent chemokine which binds to CXCR2. Expression of CD182 is found on several cell types including leukocytes, endothelial, and epithelial cells.
