Miltenyi Biotec Clone REA201 recognizes IRF-4, which is a 52 KDa transcription factor and belongs to the family of interferon regulatory transcription factors (IRF).The IRF family consists of nine members in both human and mice and is characterized by a conserved N-terminal DNA-binding domain (DBD) with unique tryptophan pentad repeat and modulates the expression of genes regulated by the presence of interferons and in response to cell activation. Expression of IRF-4 is found in cells of the immune system, including lymphocytes, dendritic cells, and macrophages, where its multiple functions include regulation of cell proliferation, apoptosis, and differentiation.
