Miltenyi Biotec Clone REA586 recognizes the human CD301 (CLEC10A) antigen, which is a 40 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by immature DCs and activated macrophages. CD301 is a member of the C-type lectin/C-type lectinl–ike domain (CTL/CTLD) superfamily which plays a role in cell adhesion, cell-cell signaling, glycoprotein turnover, inflammation, and immune response. CD301 binds in a calcium-dependent manner to terminal galactose and N-acetylgalactosamine units, linked to serine or threonine.
