Plastics take hundreds of years to degrade naturally in the environment. The only condition necessary for the Eco-Friendly SpecTainer^TM to biodegrade is constant contact with other degrading materials. No heat, physical stress, oxygen, or sunlight is necessary. The Eco-Friendly SpecTainer^TM has the ability to break down safely and quickly, by biological means, into the raw materials of nature and disappear into the environment.

Non-sterile containers are only available with gold-colored caps.
