Sigma-Aldrich Vent Filter, 0.45 um Pore, Suitable For Use With: AFS, Elix Advantage, Elix Essential UV, Elix Essential, Elix Reference, Sigma-Aldrich Integral, RiOsEssential Water Purification Systems, 9 cm H. This Vent Filter is designed to provide advanced protection to high-resistivity Elix Type 2 pure water stored in 30/60/100 polyethylene (PE) tanks. A vent filter is used to filter air entering the water reservoir. As the reservoir is emptied of water, the air entering the system passes through the filter. The vent filters contain a combination of purification media carefully selected to remove airborne contaminants that could lower the quality of the stored pure water. The filters cartridges are made of polypropylene, polyethersulfone (PES) and styrene-acrylonitrile (SAN). The cartridges are carefully assembled following a dichloromethane (DCM)-free process. The vent filter is replaced once a year for optimal results.
