Method: colorimetric with color-disk comparator 0.10 - 0.20 - 0.35 - 0.6 - 1.0 - 1.8 - 3.0 - 6.0 - 10 mg/L CR 0.22 - 0.45 - 0.8 - 1.3 - 2.2 - 4.0 - 6.7 - 13 - 22 mg/L CrO MQuant^®The MQuant^®Chromate test (formally MColortest^®) measures chromium(VI) present in the sample as chromate or dichromate ions in wastewater and percolating water, groundwater and surface water, industrial water and drinking water.

Method
In weakly phosphoric solution chromium(VI) ions react with diphenylcarbazide to form chromium(III) and diphenylcarbazone, which form a red-violet complex. The chromate concentration is measured semiquantitatively by visual comparison of the color of the measurement solution with the color fields of a color disk. The test evaluates the color reaction based on the transmitted light method. SO even turbid and colored water samples can be analyzed without further preparation.
The color disk is made of very durable, lightfast plastic, thus suitable for industrial areas and wet environments. The test measures chromium(VI) present in the sample as chromate or dichromate ions in wastewater and percolating water, groundwater and surface water, industrial water and drinking water.

Application
