Takara NucleoMag® HMW DNA, 96 Preps

The NucleoMag HMW DNA kit is designed for the isolation of HMW DNA (from 50–200 kb) from a wide range of sample materials. Following lysis and clarification of the sample material, NucleoMag B-Beads are used for DNA isolation. After washing steps, highly pure DNA is eluted from the beads.

The NucleoMag HMW DNA kit can be used either manually or automated on standard liquid handling instruments or automated magnetic separators. Reagents and magnetic beads necessary for isolation of 96 samples are included; however, additional reagents may be required for lysis, depending on your sample type.

NucleoMag HMW DNA successfully isolates high-molecular-weight (HMW) DNA from a wide variety of sample types. Genomic DNA from a variety of sample materials was isolated using NucleoMag HMW DNA and samples were analyzed for fragment size distribution using an Agilent Bioanalyzer 2100. Ladder fragment sizes are bp lengths. Isolated DNA fragments obtained using NucleoMag HMW were over 50 kb in length for all sample materials tested.

DNA isolated with NucleoMag HMW DNA demonstrates higher yield and purity compared to a competitor kit. HMW DNA was purified from a variety of sample materials with NucleoMag HMW DNA or with Company Zs HMW DNA kit. A NanoDrop 2000 was used to assess DNA yields (PanelA) and purity as determined by the A260/280(B) and A260/230(C) values.
